The Calculator app on iPads now offers basic and scientific calculators, allowing users to view complete expressions before finalizing them. Additionally, new features such as history tracking and unit conversions have been seamlessly integrated to enhance usability. With the history feature, users can conveniently track previous calculations, while unit conversions enable quick transformations of various measurements.

One of the standout features of the app is Math Notes, which seamlessly integrates into the Notes app, residing in a dedicated folder for easy access. Users can switch between tabs or apps without losing their equations, thanks to the app’s intuitive design.

The Math Notes feature enables users to write down math problems and receive instant solutions, akin to having a smart, digital notebook. Moreover, users can manipulate equations and create graphs, expanding the app’s capabilities beyond simple arithmetic.

In addition to the Calculator app, iPadOS 18 introduces several other noteworthy features, including “Smart Script,” aimed at enhancing handwriting legibility.

To enjoy all these features, users will need an Apple Pencil handy. However, for those equipped with one, the iPad becomes an even more powerful tool for mathematical problem-solving and productivity.
